Daily Life in the Camps

During the Second World War, many Japanese citizens and Japanese-Americans were uprooted from their homes and were sent away, across the United States, to various relocation centers. Focusing on the Delta region in California, Japanese from across the San Francisco region to Stockton were taken to one of the ten relocation centers across the United States. Two of these relocation centers otherwise known as internment camps were in California, Manzanar, and Tule Lake. However, most Japanese living in the Delta region were taken to the Rohwer and Jerome camps located in Arkansas
