Dance halls were another big part of the early Filipino community in Stockton. These were locations where they were able to come together and socialize with one another after hard days work and to relax. Because of the growing population of Filipinos in the community, there were more men than women. There were antimiscegenation laws that affected these dance halls because women were paid to dance with the men. These women were anyone from young to older white, Filipino, and even Mexican women.  However, with the money that was made, club owners were able to pay off the police. The clubs were dress up and was a place for people to talk and socialize with other people and other ethnicities. The sources of entertainment and activities was a time for people to get to know and mingle with other people in their communities.
